Generator Preventative Maintenance Package

Preventative maintenance should occur throughout the year to ensure the continuing operation of your generator. 
Basic preventative services recommended by the manufacturer include: 

1.  Change Oil Filter and Oil (approx. every 200 hours of operation)

2.  Change Air Filter (approx. every 100-200 hours of operation)                    

3.  Reset Valve Clearances and Clean Air Filter (after first 50 hours of operation)                           

In the event you do not have the time or knowledge resources to perform these preventative measures, South Electric Services will have a trained professional perform them for you.  A trained professional will perform an annual complete maintenance service and one semi-annual maintenance check up.  The complete annual maintenance service includes:

1.  Replace Oil and Oil Filter

2.  Inspect Spark Arrestor

3.  Monitor Battery Charge State and Electrolyte Levels (unsealed batteries only)

4.  Replace Air Filter and Spark Plugs

5.  Check Fuel Lines and Connections

6.  Check for Vibration, Noise, Leakage and Temperature

7.  Complete Voltage and Hertz Adjustments
